Expand Telehealth Services within Medicare

Congress introduced the CONNECT for Health Act of 2019, which would expand telehealth services within Medicare. Some key components of this legislation include:

-Removal of geographic restrictions and the addition of the home as an originating site for mental health services
-Removal of geographic restrictions on certain originating sites for emergency medical care services
-Removal of geographic restrictions on FQHCs and RHCs and granting them the ability to furnish telehealth services at distant sites
-Ability to waive telehealth restrictions during national and public health emergencies
