Bringing Your Best and Appreciating Others

This session will use the CliftonStrengths framework and will encourage the participant to bring awareness to their personal talents by focusing on the 5 clues to talent and what is right and strong within them. Participants will also spend time building awareness and appreciation for those around them, those they supervise, and/or their patients. 

Learning Objectives

  • Define talent and its relation to exponential growth
  • Begin to identify personal talents through the 5 clues to talent
  • Build awareness around personal strengths and challenges and increase appreciation of others

Everyone has talent. What’s yours? We don’t always spend time focused on what is right within us or know how to articulate the answer. We also may struggle with noticing what is right and strong in others. This session will shine a spotlight on what is right and strong within you and help you more intentionally appreciate others. 

 

Speaker:

Alicia Wojciuch, Maryville University

Alicia Wojciuch has worked in student affairs for over 10 years. She has an MSW and is an Associate Diversity Coach through CoachDiversity Institute, Gallup Certified Strengths Coach, Facilitator in Strengths Based Education, and Instructor in Strengths Based Education. Alicia has been coaching and training supervisors, teams, student leaders, and students using the Strengths framework (CliftonStrengths/StrengthsFinder/StrengthsQuest) for over five years, in addition to implementing a campus-wide, Strengths initiative at her previous institution. Alicia currently works as a Lead Life Coach at a Maryville University. She is also the Chief Education Officer and co-founder of Strengths University.

The Season of Giving

 

The Greater St. Louis MGMA is proud to give back to the community that we and our patients live in. One of the ways we do this is by pledging support to our featured local charity, Lydia's House.  Lydia's House is having their Holiday Project 2019 to feed and bring cheer to 50 families in need, including 50 adult women and 85 children. The Greater St. Louis MGMA is excited to announce their participation and adoption of three Lydia's House families. We are currently seeking your help in collecting wish list gifts for our adopted families as well as pantry items for the Family Meal Baskets.

To participate in the Holiday Project 2019 drive please fill out the form we have provided online and register the gift(s) you plan on donating with a brief item description in the corresponding family number/member section.

Donation Drop-Off
Donation drop-off is available during the Holiday Meeting & Luncheon at Helen Fitzgerald’son December 11 and will be delivered to Lydia’s House on Friday, December 13. If you are unable to attend the Holiday Meeting & Luncheon but would still like to contribute to the Holiday Project 2019, please contact Greater St. Louis MGMA President Greg Thompson or Administrator Kara Nagel to schedule a drop-off at their office location. The deadline for submitting gifts at the additional drop-off locations is Tuesday, December 10 at 2:00pm.
