A state legislator from the Senate and House of Representatives will provide an overview and his/her analysis of this year's legislative session. Priority will be given to healthcare-related legislation.
At the end of this presentation, attendees should be able to know and understand the major issues of the 2019 legislative session, especially healthcare-related bills, and how this might affect their medical practices.

John D. Wiemann

Born in St. Louis and raised in St. James, Phelps County, Rep. Wiemann is a graduate of University of Missouri – Columbia, with a bachelor’s in business administration and a master’s in health administration. He resides in O’Fallon with his wife, Yvette and two sons, Blake & Clayton. He is President and CEO of Midwest Physician Insurance Advisors in Chesterfield, MO and is a licensed insurance broker. John Wiemann is a member of Assumption Catholic Church, St. Charles County Lions Club, Knights of Columbus, NRA, and National Pachyderms. Wiemann serves on the board of directors for Junior GAC Youth Football league and board of Trustees for Missouri State Employees Retirement System. Rep. MO State Senator, R-23
Senator William C. (Bill) Eigel, was sworn into office on Jan 4, 2017, to serve the residents of Missouri‘s 23rd Senatorial District in St. Charles County. Senator Eigel is a United States Air Force military veteran of eight years and has owned a small business in St. Charles County for more than 10 years. Senator Eigel, who held the rank of Captain while serving in the Air Force, completed assignments in Louisiana, Arizona, and most recently at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri. He is a decorated veteran for service overseas in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, as he was awarded commendations for his service in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. After leaving the service in 2006, Sen. Eigel purchased St. Louis Skylights, a small residential and commercial remodeling company. Despite the challenges of the economic recession in 2008 and 2009, St. Louis Skylights was renamed to National Skylight Solutions in 2010 as it grew to service all areas of the United States. With permanent locations in Missouri and Illinois, and serving customers in all 50 states, National Skylight Solutions (and affiliates) is one of the fastest growing skylight installation companies in the country. Senator Eigel is a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, the National Rifle Association, and is a volunteer for the Missouri Veteran’s Retirement Home in North St. Louis County. Senator Eigel lives in Weldon Spring with his wife, Amanda, and their two children.
